Robert sits where US 190 meets LA 445, just off I-12 east of Hammond. It’s the largest settlement in Tangipahoa Parish’s rural 8th ward, with about 20 streets and one stoplight. The Tangipahoa River runs along its west side. That means a lot of the homes we’d visit are out on country lots, not in subdivisions. Out here, the outdoor unit picks up grass clippings, dust and leaves fast, so the coil needs cleaning to keep the system from running long. You may also want one system that both cools and heats. If your house is all-electric, a heat pump handles both cooling and heating with one system. If you have gas, a furnace paired with a good A/C may make more sense.
