A house can be cool and still feel damp. That moisture feeds mold, sweats through ducts and stains ceilings. We find where it’s coming from and fix the whole loop, not just the symptom: filter it, dry it, fix it.

High outdoor humidity, older houses and A/C running ten months a year make the air inside your home measurable in mold spores, particulates and humidity, and all three affect how you feel every day.
We hold the commercial mechanical license (CL.08880) and the mold remediation license (MR.12361). CL.08880 lets us service the systems that condition your air. MR.12361 lets us remediate the mold problems bad air creates. Most HVAC companies can change a filter. We can tell you whether the problem is the filter, the coil, the ductwork or the building around the system, and fix it under one accountability line.
Every indoor air quality assessment is done by an independent tester, not by Xero DMG. That’s deliberate: the person who tests your air and makes the clearance call can’t be the person who fixes the problem. You get a written report with the numbers, how they compare to healthy ranges, and a plain-English explanation. We do the HVAC and remediation work the report calls for.
Readings in the rooms, the attic and the ducts before. The fix. The same readings after. If mold is involved and testing is required, we order it from an independent, disinterested third party before and after, and you get the lab report.

In Louisiana, the license to handle mold is separate from the license to handle HVAC. Most companies carry one or the other. When an HVAC company finds mold, they refer you to a remediation company. When a remediation company finds an HVAC problem, they refer you to an HVAC company. Each one bills you for the diagnosis, and the actual fix falls in the gap between them.
Xero DMG carries both: CL.08880 (commercial mechanical) and MR.12361 (mold remediation). One call, one team, one accountability line. The testing and the clearance call belong to an independent tester with third-party lab reports, because the person who fixes the problem shouldn’t be the person who declares it fixed.
Standalone assessments are coordinated with an independent third-party testing firm. Call (504) 702-1480 for current pricing.
If anyone in the house has allergy or asthma symptoms, yes. If your indoor humidity reads above 55% on a hygrometer, yes. If you’ve had a water event in the last 12 months, yes. If none of those apply and your A/C runs clean and quiet, you’re probably fine, but a baseline reading from an independent tester is still worth getting once so you have a number to compare against later.
A UV light kills biological contaminants (mold, bacteria, viruses) at the coil before they enter the air stream. A HEPA filter removes particulates (spores, dust, pollen, dander) from the air stream as it passes through. They solve different problems and are often installed together.
Yes, indirectly. When indoor humidity is controlled on its own, you can set your thermostat 2–3 degrees higher and feel the same comfort, because the “feels like” temperature is driven by humidity as much as temperature. Your A/C also runs less because it’s not trying to dry the whole house.
Yes. MR.12361, Louisiana. We’re one of the few companies in the area carrying both the mechanical and the mold remediation licenses.
