You know the A/C should get looked at once in a while. But when you book a “tune-up,” it’s hard to know what you’re actually paying for, or what anyone did while they were up in the attic.
So here’s exactly what our $147 HVAC Clean & Check includes, step by step, and why each part matters in a Louisiana house. No guessing.
Every Clean & Check covers the same list, every time:
That last one matters most to a lot of our customers. You get pictures of your own system and a plain list of what we found, so you’re not taking anyone’s word for it.
The coils. The indoor coil is where your A/C pulls water out of the air. It’s cold and wet most of the year, and it catches whatever dust gets past the filter. A dirty coil can’t get cold enough to dry the air well, so the house feels sticky even when it’s cool. The outdoor coil gets packed with grass clippings, pollen and dirt, which makes the system work harder in the heat.
Cleaning the inside coil. This step takes real time, and it’s the one that helps most with comfort, humidity and that musty smell when the system kicks on.
The blower. The blower moves all the air in the house. A dirty or worn blower moves less air, and that means less cooling and less drying.
The drain line and trap. Your A/C pulls a lot of water out of the air on a summer day, and it all has to leave through one small drain line. When that line clogs, water backs up into the pan and ends up on the closet floor or the ceiling below. Flushing the line and the trap is a cheap way to head off a water call in August.
The filter. A clogged filter chokes the airflow. We look at it every visit, and replace it if you provide one or one is included.
Electrical. Loose connections, worn contactors and weak capacitors are the small parts behind a lot of no-cool calls. Catching them on a mild day beats finding out on the hottest one.
Refrigerant pressures and operating readings. These tell us whether the system is running the way it should, as applicable to your equipment.
Overall operation. We run it and watch it, the way you’d test-drive a car after a service.
A lot of A/C breakdowns don’t come out of nowhere. They come from a coil that was never cleaned, a drain line that finally clogged, or a capacitor that was getting weak for a year. Skipping maintenance doesn’t save the money. It moves the bill to the worst possible day, usually with a water mess or a hot house attached.
You can book a Clean & Check once for $147.
Or you can go on our HVAC Maintenance Agreement, also called our Service Plan, for $15.99 a month. That’s $191.88 a year for two Clean & Checks, each one the full list above. Booked separately, two visits would be $294. The plan saves you $102.12 a year, and we schedule your second visit for you so it doesn’t slip.
Two visits a year lines up with how we live here: one before the summer heat, one before the first cold snap when the furnace comes on.
1. Book a time. Call us and we’ll set a visit that works for you.
2. We do the full list. Every item, every time, with photos.
3. You get the report. Photos and our recommendations, in plain English. If something needs a repair, we tell you what it is and what it costs before anything is done. If nothing does, we tell you that too.
The system runs quieter and dries the air better. The drain line is clear before the summer storms. You have photos of your own equipment and you know what shape it’s in. And if anyone ever tells you it’s time for a new system, you’ll already know whether that’s true.
Call (504) 702-1480. We answer day or night. One visit is $147, or two a year for $15.99 a month.
